Summertime is Here!!! Rusty Crow Quilt Shop
It's been a while since I've reached out to you all. We celebrated our 20 years of our online business in April. The month of May just kinda flew by. We have had more gray days than sunny, which gave us more visitors in the store. But I think, Mother Nature has spread out her beach towel...Summer is here. Driving at the end of our day, we will often take the side beach road home. We love seeing the familes, tired and red from the sun, arms loaded with sandy supplies, hiking back over the dunes to their holiday rentals. The kids are excited and talking a mile a minute, while parents keep an eye on the traffic waiting for the cars to stop to let them cross. I hope they take the time to drink it all in. In a blink, they will be all grown.
I started a easy stitch along on Mondays. We are recreating a Sampler from the Simply Sweet Book . The video is still there and you can easily catch up. I'm currently out of the Moda Linen, but I do have it on order. They are telling me I should have it in July
It's all stitchery, the circles are only 2 inches. The book has 63 drawings, and you are going to pick your favorite 30 to put together your sampler. We do have the books and threads available. The next FB Live will be on Mondays at 6pm east coast time.
I try to answer questions as I'm stitching. I would love to see your work there too.
Mike and I have been busy putting up new shelving in the front and back of the shop. We are up to the ceiling in Wool.
Our Summer Wool Sale starts today and runs to the end of June. All our Fat Quarters of wool are now $10.00 a piece. It's a great time to stock up for the autumn and Christmas projects.
Our Valdani stock is almost completely full. We have very few backordered colors. Plus we have a new color being dropped on Friday. They are shipping them to us now. Please check back. O102 Indigo Blue, I can't wait to see it.
We lost our JuJu on April 18th. It was such a hard time for us. He was the most loved dog and I miss him every day. The house is much quieter, JuJu was alway the noisy boss dog. Jango and Dasha are never more than 6 feet from Mike or I. I guess we are now part of their pack.
Take care of yourselves and those you love.
Happy Stitching, Shawn
We carried him over the dune one last time. He loved the beach as much as I do.
