Autumn has arrived in OBX, and we got the Wools!!!!

Good Morning, Stitchers

I hope this newsletter finds you excited for the holidays that are just around the corner.  How in the heck did that happen so fast????  Mike and I are doing something we have never done before, we ordered a turkey dinner from our local grocery store.  Mike and I just didn't want to spend the day preparing and cooking dinner for two. Takes off a bit of hassle off our day.

I have a few things to let you know about.  All of our Fat Quarter pieces of wool are on sale for 12.00 until Nov. 30.  Saving of $2.00 a piece.  We have over 300 bolts of yummy wools for your winter projects.

Next we are hosting a couple for quilt retreats next year.  We have one in Feburary and another in March.  Big beautiful home, 20 plus bedrooms on the beach in Kill Devil Hills.

I believe the Feburary is sold out.  There may be one more room, but I'm just waiting to hear back from a possible retreater.  The March is about half fun, but rooms are going fast.  Dates on the March 16 - 23, come in on a Saturday and leave on a Saturday.  The rate is 675.00 a room, you can add a friend to your room for 225.00

Transportation and food is not included.  That said, Mike and I are hosting a pizza party the first night.  We are going to stock the 2 frigs with basics one time.  We wil keep the coffee bar stocked.  There are lots of resturants and grocery stores close.

This is a free sew, so bring what you want to work on.  I will be in and out, still have a shop to run and orders to get out.  But I plan on playing a lot of hooky and leaving Mike and the mutts at the shop. I can't wait to share our new island home with you all.  The retreat info is on the website.

The long awaited new pattern from Hatched & Patched is here, A Day in Happyland.  We are still trying to sourcs a similar background fabric.  We don't have kits for this yet.  How darling is this quilt.  I call this a long road of stitching pleasure quilt, it's going to take some time to get this done.  Like a great book you don't want to end.  $45.00

We also have gotten in new designs from and Crane Designs for wool lovers

Quilters have not been forgotten.  We love these new patterns. Cluck Cluck Sew has some great ones. More Moda Grunge in on the site as well.

Have you seen Boho Hearts?  Lovely pattern from Jen Kingwell.  We only got 2 copies in, but trying to get more. This pattern is a book, lol.  This is definitely a journey quilt.

Join me on Monday nights at 6:00 on our Facebook group, RustyCrowQuiltShop.com

It's where I work on a project, try to answer questions in real time.  Honestly, I ask a lot of questions too!!! I also show new stuff that has rolled in to the shop.

Right now we are working on Deck the Boughs by Kathy Schmitz.

We have been here for over 2 years now and we love it more and more. I went to a craft fair at a local church yesterday.  You know what this quilter bought?  I bought a pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving, a cherry pie for friends, a container of Caramel Pecans, a piece of fudge and 8 frozen casseroles.  Mike is so happy.  Heat and serve is key around this house.  I can do many things, but cooking is not one of my happy places.  The fudge was delicious, by the way.

Happy Thanksgiving to You, Family and Friends.  With love, Shawn and Mike
